Polar Express Day

We had Polar Express Day at AEEC on Monday, December 19.  The children wore their pajamas to school and they watched The Polar Express in the Tiger's Den.  A conductor was here to lead the children to the Tiger's Den and watch the movie with them.  They got a candy cane and a bell after the movie.

Holiday Program

AEEC's Holiday Program was Friday, December 16.  Our class sang Celebrate with Joy.  The children used scarves and signs for their routine.  They did an excellent job performing!

Gingerbread Houses

The children decorated their gingerbread houses this week.  They used gum and gum drops for the walk way, gum for the roof shingles, a chocolate bar for the door, peppermints for the windows, ribbon candy for the chimney, and suckers for the light posts.  The children had so much fun decorating their house.  They were so excited about taking the houses home.  They could not wait to eat them!

Tailgate Day

AEEC's 10th Annual Tailgate Day was Thursday, November 10.  The children wore their teams favorite colors.  They rotated to different stations throughout the day.  Then, we had a peprally and tailgate lunch.  It was very chilly, so we ate our tailgate lunch inside.  We had a fun filled day!

We started our day at training camp with Coach Robert.

Then, we went to the Mrs. H for the marching band.

Next was Gameday books with the balloon artist.

Next up was Journals with Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Hicks.

Our next stop was a "Taste of Auburn Traditions" where we rolled Toomer's Corner and drank lemonade.

Then, we went to face painting.

Next up was the tiger and elephant hunt.

Next was dance.

Our last station was cheering.

We ended our day with a pep rally and tailgate lunch.  The Auburn University Cheerleaders, Tiger Paws, and a few Football players came.  They even brought Aubie!
