Auburn University Regional Airport

We visited the Auburn-University Regional airport on Thursday, September 29 to learn about airplanes and aiports.  We are preparing for our flight to the rainforest and thought it would be a great opportunity for the children to visit the airport.  A special thanks to the wonderful ariport staff for for making this trip possible!  We had five different stations for the children.  We also had a special surprise at the end!

We got a chance ot sit in the cockpit of a Flight Education airplane.

We spent some time on the observation deck watching Flight Education students take off and land.

We learned how to direct and park an airplane with the line crew.

We visited a hangar and learned about the Auburn University jet.

We learned about the fuel trucks.

And our surprise...a corporate jet had landed at our airport.  The pilot was kind enough to let the children look inside.  It was so neat to see such a nice airplane!

We had an awesome trip to the airport!
